Thank you for attending the 15th Annual Bill Breen JV Relays! We are excited to have this event back in 2021 to give our subvarsity athletes a chance to compete. Please see below for complete meet information. Some points of emphasis:

  • Spectators must wear masks and practice social distancing. Entry is free, with meet programs sold at the gate to benefit the Breen Memorial Scholarship.
  • DO NOT ENTER ATHLETES THAT WILL BE COMPETING IN YOUR LEAGUE/REGIONAL MEET. This seems to happen every year. Athletes found competing in both will be disqualified.

Bill Breen JV Relays

Meet Information 2021

Date: Wednesday, May 19, 2021

Location: Troy High School

Time: 3:30pm Field Events and 4:00 Running Events

Teams Competing: Clarkston, Farmington, Lake Orion, Rochester, Royal Oak, Stoney Creek, Troy, Troy Athens

Awards: A traveling team trophy will be awarded to both the men and women’s champion. Medals will be given out to the top 6 teams in each relay event.

Cost: The cost is $200 for one team or $300 for both boys and girls teams. Make checks payable to: Breen Scholarship - Troy High School.

Participants: We are asking that only athletes that do not compete in their respective League Meet to participate in this meet. Every year we seem to find a few athletes that compete in both, giving one team an unfair advantage. COACHES – please adhere to this rule to provide our JV athletes a chance to compete against each other! Penalty will be disqualification from the event.

Scoring: The meet will only score relays. Scoring will be through six places 10-8-6-4-2-1.

Entries: We are happy to announce that the meet will feature Fully Automated Timing this year! Please submit your entries via athletic.net by Sunday, May 16 at 12-noon. Please see below for information on entries for running events. For field events, your top three will be combined for relay scoring. There is no limit to the number of entries, but your top 3 need to be declared for shot put and discus as the scoring flights will run first.

Facility Guidelines: The concessions stand and bathrooms are located near the entrance to the track. Please help keep your athletes out of the school as we usually have AP testing going on. Athletes will be clerked in at the south end of the track near the flagpole. Team tents should be set up in the field along the fence on the south end of the track and warmups should be completed in this area as well. Please no team camps or bags in the infield.

Inclement Weather: In the case of a weather delay, students and coaches may go to their buses or spread out in our main gym, auxiliary gym, and student commons area. Parents should go to their vehicles.
